The
Center was established as an institute for criminological
research in the year 1955.
It
has been reorganized according to the presidential decree
no. 221 of the year 1959, which
called
the Institute "The National Center
for Social and Criminological Research".
The
National Center for Social and Criminological Research is
the first of its kind in the Arab region
and in
the Middle East.
